Ambassador Palmer, on behalf of the U.S. government, delivered 14 armored personnel carriers (APC), worth over $6 million, to Ghana. This significant contribution is designed to support the Ghana Armed Forces in their essential role of maintaining peace and border security. In addition to the vehicles, over 40 soldiers received comprehensive training in driving and maintaining these APCs.
The handover ceremony, was held at Burma Camp on May 8, coincides with our celebration of Victory in Europe Day, marking the end of WWII. The United States remains committed to working alongside our partners to build a safer, more secure, and prosperous future.
