Ghana has officially appointed experienced Portuguese tactician Carlos Queiroz as the new head coach of the senior national football team, the Ghana national football team.
The appointment marks a significant step in Ghana’s preparations for the upcoming global football showpiece scheduled to be hosted across North America. Queiroz brings a wealth of experience to the role, having managed at four previous FIFA World Cup tournaments and coached at the highest level of international football.

Widely respected for his tactical discipline and defensive organization, Queiroz has previously handled several national teams, including Portugal, Iran, Egypt, and Colombia. His extensive international exposure is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening the Black Stars as they aim to make a strong impact on the world stage.

At club level, Queiroz has also worked with some of the biggest names in football, notably serving as head coach of Real Madrid. He also held a long-standing assistant managerial role at Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson, contributing to multiple title-winning campaigns.
